President Aliyev inspects reconstruction work on Sabunchu- Buzovna motor road -UPDATE - PHOTOS

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today inspected the course of major repair work on the Zabrat-Buzovna stretch of the 20-km long Sabunchu-Zabrat-Mashtaga-Buzovna motor road, AzerTag state news agency reported.

The development of the Baku and its settlements is in the focus of constant attention upon the instruction of the Head of State. The State Program for 2011-2013s that is the continuation of the "Plan of Actions for the strengthening of socio-economic development of Baku in 2006-2007s" considers modernization of the road infrastructure.

Modern roads, road passages, bridges, tunnels, pedestrian underpasses and overpasses are built in Baku and its outskirts.

Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov informed President Aliyev about the reconstruction work and major repair on the roads, stating that 11 km of the road is 6-lane, while 9 km is 4-lane.

Reconstruction of the Sabunchu-Zabrat stretch was carried out in 2012, and the 14 km long Zabrat-Mashtaga-Buzovna stretch was reconstructed in 2012-2013s.

The reconstructed motor road will create condition for normal traffic of vehicles,connect Sabunchu, Zabrat, Mashtaga, Nardaran, Buzovna, Zugulba and Bilgah settlements (with 140,000-man population ) with each other, and also link these settlements with the Azadliq Square-Airport-Bilgah highway.
