President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Kurdamir region - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today viewed a stock breeding and milk complex as part of his visit to the country’s Kurdamir District.

Chairman of Azersun Holding`s Supervisory Board Abdulbari Gozel informed the Head of State that construction of the complex started late 2011 and ended in early 2013.

He said the complex that cost AZN 12.6 mln was constructed under the "State Program of Socio-Economic Development of the Districts of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

The complex was equipped with modern technologies. Its daily production capacity will be a total of 50 tons of milk. The facility will employ 140 peoples.

President Ilham Aliyev toured the facility, and viewed the production process.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today opened a new administrative building of the Kurdamir District Executive Authorities.

The Head of State was informed that construction of the building started in September, 2011 and ended in July, 2013.

The two-storey building occupies a total area of 4,000 square meters. The facility is provided with all necessary equipment.

A bust to national leader Heydar Aliyev was installed in the foyer of the building. There are photo stands reflecting activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev.

The Azerbaijani leader toured the building. The administrative building has 30 rooms, a 250-seat hall, and a conference hall.

The Head of State also viewed the Efficient Management Center.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the conditions created here.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today attended a ceremony to launch drinking water supply from Kulullu reservoir to Kurdamir District.

The Head of State made a speech at the ceremony.

Speaking on behalf of Kurdamir residents, chairman of the Association of the district`s Intelligentsia Sabir Novruzov thanked the President for his efforts to carry out overall development measures in the country, including in Kurdamir District.

The Head of State viewed photo stands reflecting “Plan of Kurdamir city water supply”, “Plan of the Kulullu-Kurdamir-Ujar-Zardab” water pipeline and work done in Kulullu water reservoir.

Chairman of Azersu company Gorkhmaz Huseynov informed President Ilham Aliyev of the “Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems of Kurdamir city” project and Kulullu water reservoir.

He said the work under the “Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems of Kurdamir city” project started in October, 2011. The system is capable of supplying water and sewerage services to up to 22,300 people considering the natural growth of city population by 2035. In order to support population`s demand for pure water, it is planned to use Kulullu water reservoir of Aghsu region. For this purpose, it was planned to build a central water drainage system working on self-propelling basis, of 32 kilometers length. As part of the project, the construction of 7,500 cubic meters water reservoir and construction of 190 kilometers of splitting pipelines were planned. The collection and transition of the waste water will be fulfilled through 175 kilometers of sewerage pipeline and 4 sewerage-pump stations. The waste water will be transmitted to the waste water purification plant outside the city, with transmittance capacity of 6,000 cubic meters of water a day.

Kulullu water reservoir alongside with Kurdamir city, will provide Zardab and Ujar cities and adjacent residential areas with drinking water.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today visited the Heydar Aliyev Center in the country`s Kurdamir district.

The Head of State viewed photo stands reflecting lifetime and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as visits of the national leader and President Ilham Aliyev to Kurdamir district.

The Azerbaijani leader also toured a virtual classroom. President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the construction of the facility started in July, 2012 and ended in July, 2013. The three-storey building of the center occupies a total area of 2,524 square meters.

The Heydar Aliyev Center has an exhibition hall, a 300-seat auditorium, an electronic library, a 300-seat conference hall, a drawing studio, a 3D cinema theatre, an internet cafe, and photo studio.

It will also offer dance, sculpture and carpet-making courses.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today arrived in Kurdamir district.

The Head of State laid flowers at a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city.

Head of Kurdamir Executive Authorities Irshad Aliyev informed the President about the construction work and landscaping in the Heydar Aliyev Park.
