Barack Obama congratulates President Ilham Aliyev with Eid al-Fitr - end of Ramadan month

The President of the United States of America Barack Obama sent congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev on occasion of the end of Ramadan month. The letter reads:

Dear Mr. President:

On behalf of the American people, I extend to you and the people of your country best wishes on the joyful occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Over the past month, Muslims in the United States and around the world have shared the tradition of Ramadan with their families and friends, while drawing strength from their faith and helping those less fortunate. I hope the holy month of Ramadan has been a time of renewal and reflection for your country’s Muslim community.

May you and your people enjoy peace, health, and prosperity in the coming year. Eid Mubarak.
