Date of official pre-election agitation defined in Azerbaijan

The official campaign will begin 23 days before the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. This is indicated in the calendar plan, approved at a meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Starting from the date of the announcement of the decision on the date of the elections, presidential candidates will be nominated. A candidate is entitled to appeal to the CEC to be nominated and get on the subscription lists, CEC secretary Arifa Mukhtarova said.

It should be stressed that a decision was made at today's meeting of the Central Election Commission to hold the presidential elections on October 9.
