
Azerbaijan`s embassy in Iran has published “Ilham: portrait of a President” book in the Persian language.
Famous British author and documentary maker, member of the Royal Geographical Association Graham Wilson, tried to describe the portrait of the leader and his people in period when Azerbaijan gained an unseen importance on the geopolitical arena on the basis of over 80 interviews.
The book highlights the history of ancient times, the 23-month Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Soviet period of Azerbaijan, biographies of great leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev, their life and activity.
The book also reflected materials about the Khojaly tragedy and Black January, as well as the factors promoting the development of Azerbaijan in transparency, literacy, health, social provision, life span and economy.
It has to be noted that the author of the book-Graham Wilson has written over 20 books including the biographies of the heads of a number of states, including United Arab Emirates, Maldives, Sri-Lanka, Oman and others. The films were made on the Discovery and National Geographic channels by the script of the 42-year film-maker.
