
The European Union Foreign Affairs Council meeting, which will focus on the Eastern Partnership, will be held in Brussels on July 22.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will attend the meeting, which will discuss the Eastern Partnership, preparations for the 3rd Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in Vilnius in November and the annual Eastern Partnership ministerial meeting that will take place after the Council meeting.
The Council will also debate events in the EU's southern neighbourhood, the Middle East peace process and Lebanon, with particular focus on Syria, preparations for the Geneva II peace conference, and Egypt. The Council will also discuss the political situation in Africa's Great Lakes Region, Somalia and Mali.
