Afghanistan backa Azerbaijan's stamce in Karabakh conflict - Minister

Afghanistan supports the position of Azerbaijan in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Interior Minister of Afghanistan Ghulam Mujtaba Patang said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov today, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry reported.

"Afghanistan is keen to enhance cooperation with Azerbaijan across many spheres," he said. "There are huge opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in various spheres."

"The bilateral relations are traditionally friendly and brotherly and the visit would further contribute to enhance these ties," Mammadyarov said.

The sides discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation at the meeting.
