
Members of the working group for the Azerbaijan-Korea interparliamentary ties have met with a delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea led by Vice-Speaker Park Byeong-seug.
Head of the group Malik Hasanov noted that such visits contributed to expanding friendly ties between the two nations. He briefed the delegation on the economic, political reforms put in place in Azerbaijan.
He noted that Azerbaijan has a favorable strategic position in the South Caucasus through territory of which important international transport corridors run.
Hasanov underlined the importance of reciprocal visits.
Member of the friendship group Fattah Heydarov said there was huge potential for expanding cooperation between the countries.
Park Byeong-seug expressed satisfaction with the meetings held during the visit. He noted Azerbaijan had developed rapidly in recent years. He expressed confidence that bilateral ties will be steadily developing.
According to him, using its rich energy resources and economic potential of Korea, Azerbaijan can achieve huge successes.
The Vice-Speaker said that Korea backs fair solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by peaceful means.
