President Ilham Aliyev held number of official meetings - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the International Air Transport Association, Tony Tyler.

Mr. Tyler stressed the role of air transport in rapid development of economy. He underscored the necessity of development of this sphere globally. Mr. Tyler highly appreciated the Azerbaijani state`s attention to development of air transport.

President Ilham Aliyev said the Azerbaijani government always paid special attention to development of air transport. According to the President, modern airports are built in various regions of the country and new planes are bought with government funding.
The Head of State underlined the importance of air transport in increasing business and tourism opportunities of the country.

They exchanged views on how to expand cooperation between International Air Transport Association and Azerbaijan Airlines, and establishment of new partnership relations in air transport sphere.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a Greek delegation led by Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani leader and the Greek FM discussed development of the bilateral relations on all fronts, in particular in the fields of politics, economy, energy, trade and tourism.

They also exchanged views on the Azerbaijan-Greece cooperation within the European Union and NATO.
