Integration into Europe holds one of key positions in Azerbaijan's foreign policy :top official

Azerbaijan puts special emphasis on its relationship with the Czech Republic, said Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov in his meeting with the country`s deputy Chair of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament Jan Hamá?ek.

Asadov stressed the importance of the reciprocal visits and meetings at various levels in terms of further bolstering the bilateral relations.

“Azerbaijan`s integration into Europe is one of the foreign policy priorities of the official Baku”, Asadov said.

The Parliament Speaker praised economic relations between the two nations.

The Speaker pointed out wide opportunities for boosting the relations in non-oil sphere.

On role of the Parliaments on deepening bilateral relations, Asadov praised exchanging views of both countries` MPs in the various international organizations.

The Parliament Speaker hailed Azerbaijan`s contributions to the energy security of Europe.
Asadov praised efforts by the Czech Parliament towards the recognition of the Khojaly massacre.

He also stressed hope that the Karabakh problem would be solved on the basis of norms and principles of international law, and in accordance of principles of territorial integrity of States.

Jan Hamá?ek, in turn, said Czech Republic was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan.

He also stressed the importance of activity of the friendship groups of both countries` Parliaments.

Jan Hamá?ek said his country was ready to share its experience with Azerbaijan in the field of integration to the European structures.
