President Ilham Aliyev held several official meetings - UPDATE - PHOTOS

 President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation of the Swiss Confederation led by head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Federal Councilor Johann Schneider-Ammann.

Johann Schneider-Ammann said the fact he was accompanied by a large delegation testified to Switzerland`s determination to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan. He said long-term relations between the two countries had been developing intensively. Johann Schneider-Ammann expressed hope mutual investment in energy and non-energy sectors would give an impetus to developing cooperation in other areas.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the Azerbaijan-Switzerland relations, saying they were developing on all fronts, particularly in politics, economy, energy and mutual investment making.
The Head of State stressed the importance of high-level reciprocal visits in terms of expansion of the bilateral relations.

The President pointed out there were good opportunities for cooperation, hailing results of joint projects and mutual investment.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence the visit by Johann Schneider-Ammann would be a success.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a Chinese delegation led by Cao Jianming, prosecutor general, president of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA).

President Ilham Aliyev praised relationship between Azerbaijan and China, saying it would further strengthen. The head of state noted political relations between the two countries were developing successfully. The President added Azerbaijan and China had also good cooperation within international organizations. President Ilham Aliyev also pointed out there were good results in bilateral economic cooperation, as well.

According to the head of state, development of law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan and China will contribute to expansion of bilateral relationship. The President also expressed hope that Cao Jianming`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to boosting Azerbaijan-China ties.

Cao Jianming called Azerbaijan China`s great and reliable friend. The prosecutor general said his country was interested in strengthening Azerbaijan`s position in the region. Jianming underlined the importance of the fact that Azerbaijan and China support each-other in international organizations. He also said law enforcement bodies of the two countries cooperate successfully within IAACA in fighting against corruption.
