President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Gabala region - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President Ilham Aliyev has today inspected construction of Tufan Alpine Skiing Summer and Winter Recreation Complex as part of his Gabala visit.

The facility is located 4km from the city of Gabala.

The President toured the complex by a cable-borne elevator. The Head of State was informed of Qafqaz Resort complex which includes three hotels, a SPA center and a leisure and recreation park.

The President was told that the complex would have 10 ski slopes with the total length of 18,000 meters

The facility will serve up to 3,000 people a day.

The Head of State then was told of Golf Resort sport and leisure
center to be built in the region.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that Golf Academy and Club would also be created in Gabala.

The President stressed the necessity of carrying out the construction work in line with highest standards.

As part of his visit to Gabala, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today opened a winery of “Aspi-Agro” LLC here.

The Head of State was informed that the construction of the plant started in July, 2010. It has a processing capacity of 1,000 tons of grapes a year, but the figure is expected to increase in the future.

The Head of State viewed a photo gallery reflecting care and attention by national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to development of private sector, as well as vine-growing in the country.

President Ilham Aliyev pressed a button to launch the Gabala winery.
The facility has an Italian-made equipment. It has a two-storey administrative building, a lab, a canteen, a conference hall and a guest house.

The President praised the work done here and wished every success to the winery workers.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today opened a cattle breeding and milk processing complex in Gabala.

The complex that costed AZN 12.9 mln was constructed under the “State Program of the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2009-2013”.
The Head of State was informed that the construction of the complex started in 2011 and ended in February, 2013.

The complex was equipped with modern technologies. Its annual production capacity will be a total of 15 tons of milk, including 8, 500 litres milk per cow.

The facility created 95 jobs.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated a mosque in Gabala.

The Head of State was informed that the construction of the mosque started in May, 2010 at the request of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The facility occupies a total area of 715 square meters, while the minaret is 25 meters in height. The mosque can handle up to 600 believers. The facility has two fountains, a library, the ablution rooms, ornamental trees, and modern lighting systems.

President Ilham Aliyev was presented with a copy of the Holy Quran.

The Head of State praised the look of the mosque.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today opened the Gabala Culture Center.

The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the center. Stands reflecting a present look of the center were installed in the foyer of the building.

Photos reflect national leader Heydar Aliyev`s and President Ilham Aliyev`s care and attention to the development of culture in Azerbaijan.

The Center has a 400-seat auditorium. President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here.

The Head of State also met the local residents.
Local resident Shirin Shirinov thanked the Azerbaijani leader for the care and attention.

President Ilham Aliyev posed for photographs together with the local residents.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated several facilities as part of the first stage of construction of the Gabala shooting club in Bum residential area here.

Vice President of the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation Rasim Rzayev informed the Head of State that the construction of the facility started in June, 2012. The shooting club occupies a total area of 25 hectares.

The facility has an administrative building, training centers, a hunting shop, a canteen, a greenery, a modern lighting system, a boiler room and a medical point.

There is a bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the foyer of the administrative building.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the work done here.

President of Azerbaijani Ilham Aliyev today arrived in country’s Gabala district.

Head of the Azerbaijani State honored the monument erected here to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, and put flowers in front of it.

The President was informed on the redevelopment-and-improvement works done in the Heydar Aliyev Park with numerous facilities for the people to rest.
