
As part of his official visit to Azerbaijan, President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has today met Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov.
The Speaker hailed the Azerbaijan-Georgia relationship, saying it had already “reached the level of strategic partnership”.
Asadov said relations between the two countries had developed in all spheres, adding high-level reciprocal visits opened new opportunities for further boosting the cooperation.
The Georgian leader reminded his visits to Azerbaijan, noting “these visits give an impulse to development of relations”.
Saakashvili said his country was keen on expanding the bilateral ties with Azerbaijan in all areas. The Georgian President underlined that parliaments played a special role in this regard.
The sides also praised the two countries` participation in joint projects.
