After talking behind closed doors, presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia were joined by their countries` delegations for an expanded meeting.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia met in private.

During the meeting, the presidents praised development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in a variety of fields.

They expressed confidence that relationship between the two countries would continue to develop.

The Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents also discussed issues of mutual interest.

A guard of honor was lined up for the Georgian President at the square decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva welcomed Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his spouse Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs.

The Heads of State inspected a ceremonial Guard of Honor as an orchestra played the national anthems of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani state and government officials were introduced to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, while members of the Georgian delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.

The presidents and first ladies posed for photographs.

President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has today arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit.

A guard of honor was lined up for the Georgian President at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport decorated with the national flags of the two countries.

President Mikheil Saakashvili and his spouse Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs were welcomed by Azerbaijan`s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and other officials.

The Georgian leader and Yagub Eyyubov had a brief talk at the airport`s VIP lounge.
