Azeri ambassador talks to Latvian radio on Khojaly genocide

Khojaly genocide is the bloodiest fact in the history of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani ambassador to Latvia Elman Zeynalov told Latvian SWH radio and Neatka Riga Avize newspaper. The diplomat told of the scale of the tragedy and described this fact as not only crime against the people of Azerbaijan but also the whole mankind and humanity values. The ambassador appealed to the Latvian Saeima to recognize Khojaly events as a genocide.

In his interview, Elman Zeynalov provided information about dynamic development of Azerbaijan, noting Azerbaijan cemented its positions in relation to energy security of both the region and the world and took an active part in resolution of global international issues as the member of the UN Security Council.
