“The next round of negotiations between Azerbaijan and the European Union on simplification of visa regime will be held in March in Brussels. It could be either the last round or one more meeting could be held after it,” Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev told journalists.
He noted that some issues, especially those related with readmission have not been completely settled yet. “No problem remained regarding getting visa, but some details should be discussed.”
Touching on the meeting of the European Union's Sub-Committee on Energy, Transport and Environment held in Azerbaijan, the Deputy Minister noted that the organization was cooperating with Azerbaijan. “However, cooperation was established with the EU's sub-committees on trade, human rights, democracy and security, social and humanitarian issues.”
“The agenda contains discussions of a number of issues. Energy issues will be discussed between Azerbaijan and the EU tomorrow. Our co-operation with the European Union in this field is of a strategic character,” the Deputy FM added.
