GUAM PA 's next session to take place in Georgia

The 6th session of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Georgia next year. The decision was taken at the assembly`s 5th session in Baku, which saw the organization`s presidency pass from Azerbaijan to Georgia.

Head of the Georgian parliamentary delegation in GUAM PA Zurab Abashidze said during its tenure as chair of the assembly Georgia would attach particular importance to developing GUAM PA`s cooperation with other regional and international organizations.

He said developing relations among member countries was also one of the key priorities.
The Baku session adopted a final document, which praised the activity of the organization highly appreciating the strengthening of cooperation with the Baltic Assembly, Benelux Parliament and other international and regional bodies.

The document also criticizes lack of progress towards conflict-resolution in the region. These conflicts are dangerous not only for GUAM members, but also entire Europe.
GUAM PA also praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to European energy security.
