Azerbaijani, Lithuanian parliaments boost coop

The Azerbaijan and Lithuania are to enhance cooperation. Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Lithuania Hasan Mammadzade and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Lithuanian Seimas Benediktas Juodka discussed prospects of cooperation, Azerbaijani Embassy in Lithuania said on Friday.

The meeting discussed issues of strengthening interaction of the parliaments of the two countries within international organisations, as well as developing mutual visits of both countries parliaments.

The Azerbaijan friendship group in the new Lithuanian Seimas has 47 members. Chairman of the group is an activist from the ruling Social Democratic Party of the country, Juras Pozhela, and his deputy is a member of the Christian Democratic Party, Mantas Adomenas.
