U.S. diplomat to meet Azerbaijani political parties’ leaders

Holding of presidential elections in Azerbaijan was discussed at the meetings with the ruling and opposition parties, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Richard Morningstar told journalists on Wednesday.

"I had meetings with opposition parties and with the ruling party of Azerbaijan this week. We talked about the same things in both meetings. Next year will be an interesting year, because the election is coming up in Azerbaijan. Any election is the choice of the people of that country. It is not the business of any outside country to interfere," Morningstar said.
