
Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov is expected to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan before the end of the year, Kazakh Ambassador in Baku Serik Primbetov told reporters.
"At present, the timing and agenda of the visit are being agreed," Primbetov said.
Also, according to the ambassador, on September 12-13, Astana will host the ninth meeting of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation. The parties will discuss the state of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport, tourism, health, environment, agriculture, education, science, sports and culture, as well as the implementation of previous agreements.
Primbetov also said the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov is expected to pay a working visit to Astana to take part in the jubilee session and the fourth meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which will be held on September 12.
On October 16, a high level Kazakh government delegation will visit Baku to attend the 11th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organisation, Primbetov said.
He also recalled that the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan will be held in Azerbaijan on November 19-22.
