Azerbaijani President offers condolences to Iranian counterpart

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev offered condolences to Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"Dear Mr. President,

I was very saddened upon hearing the news of heavy human loss as a result of a strong quake which happened in the north-west of your country.

I share your grief and offer, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people, sincere condolences to you, families and relatives of the dead and the brotherly people of Iran, as well as wish the injured recovery and that the consequences of the natural disaster are removed as soon as possible.

May Allah rest the souls of the dead in peace!
