Temporary visa, which is introduced by Iran for citizens of Azerbaijan, will be free, the spokesman for the Iranian Embassy in Baku, Abbas Iskenderi, told Trend on Monday.
He said visas to Iran for Azerbaijani citizens will be free. To get them it's necessary to submit a copy of the first page of foreign passport, copy of identity card and two photographs.
According to the spokesman, a visa will be also required for the citizens who will go to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through the territory of Iran.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan received a note from Iran on the temporary introduction of visa requirements for citizens of Azerbaijan from August 5 to 31. The visa regime is introduced in connection with the upcoming Summit of Heads of States Parties to the Non-Aligned Movement to be held in August in Tehran.
After that date the visa regime for citizens of Azerbaijan will be canceled.
