Azerbaijani President meets British Premier - UPDATE - PHOTOS

 President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron as part of his working visit to London.

President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by Mr. David Cameron.

The Head of State and the Premier posed for photographs.

During the meetings, they praised bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain.

They noted the two countries enjoy successful cooperation in a variety of fields, in particular energy and non-oil sector, adding these relations have big prospects.

President Ilham Aliyev and Premier David Cameron discussed relations between the two countries in the field of international security.

They praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to international coalition in NATO and Afghanistan.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues.

Azerbaijan has added two medals to their haul at the London Olympics as Greco-roman wrestlers Rovshan Bayramov and Emin Ahmadov have claimed silver and bronze respectively.

President Ilham Aliyev and his family members watched the action.

After the competition, President Ilham Aliyev met head coach of Azerbaijan`s Greco-Roman wrestling team Salih Bora.

The Head of State praised performance of the Azerbaijani wrestlers, and asked Bora to deliver his congratulations to Rovshan Bayramov and Emin Ahmadov.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met Group Chief Executive of BP Robert Dudley in London as part of his working visit to Great Britain.

During the meeting, they praised long-term successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP.

They discussed implementation of bilateral projects, in particular the second stage of Shahdaniz.

They expressed confidence cooperation between the country and the company would continue to develop.
