Azerbaijani FM voices attitude towards MEP’s visit to Karabakh

“The position of Azerbaijan to this issue is principal. Any visit to the occupied territories of our country without permission of Azerbaijan is illegal and people, who pay such illegal visits, show disrespect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country,” said Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev commenting on the planned visit of European Parliament’s member, Cyprus’s deputy Eleni Theocharous to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.”

He noted that the names of all people who visited illegally the occupied territories of Azerbaijan are included into the list of persona non grata.

According to “Cyprys Mail” publication, representative of the Cyprus Democratic Rally (DISY), member of the European Parliament Eleni Theocharous will visit Khankendi to observe so-called “elections”, which the separatist regime prepares to hold in Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
