Matviyenko 'didn't make any statement concerning Karabakh conflict'

The chairperson of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko who was on July 11 on a visit in the Republic of Armenia "didn't make any statement concerning the Nagorno Karabakh conflict". This was confirmed in the statement of public relations department of the office of National Assembly of Armenia and disseminated by ITAR-TASS Agency.

The statement is disseminated in connection with the publication in the Graparak newspaper on July 13 which concerns Matviyenko's statement allegedly she made on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

“We state that the aforementioned publication completely doesn't represent the facts. Such discussions took place neither during official meetings, nor during the dinner”. This was noted in the statement the public relations department of the office of National Assembly of Armenia made.
“Unfortunately, quite often in mass media there appear publications which not always represent the facts. This is one of such publications” – the statement says.
