Azerbaijan strengthens state borders' security

‘The State Border Service is going to launch a number of new facilities in near future’, Chief of State Border Service and Commander of Border Troops is General-Lieutenant Elchin Guliyev told journalists.

To him, within this framework, new garrisons, bases, frontier posts, provost control services, special military units, air-bases will be opened: ‘You’ll see that what Supreme Commander – in – chief means when he says ‘Our military power is increasing’. Azerbaijan’s economic development gives a big boost to all spheres of army building’.

Saying that development is being continued at State Border Service, Guliyev expressed that not only building-construction is spoken about here: ‘On the other hand, we continue to purchase cutting edge equipments and apply in security of state borders. The process is till going on in direction of purchase the most modern weapons, improvement of flat conditions of officers. Above 1,000 officers have been provided with a flat in a short time. This is the result of Supreme Commander – in – chief’s attention and care toward Border Troops.
