Azerbaijani President holds several meetings - UPDATE - PHOTO

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a Spanish delegation led by State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Gonzalo de Benito.

The Head of State expressed confidence Gonzalo de Benito`s visit to Azerbaijan would be successful in terms of development of the bilateral relationship.

The State Secretary said Spain had been keeping a close eye on Azerbaijan`s economic achievements in recent years. Gonzalo de Benito noted Spain was interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields.

The State Secretary handed over Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy`s letter to President Ilham Aliyev. They also discussed expansion of ties between Azerbaijan and Spain on a range of fronts.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Bernard Fontana, Chief Executive Officer of Switzerland`s Holcim Ltd.

They stressed Holcim Ltd`s successful activity in Azerbaijan, in particular the construction by the Company of a state-of-the-art new plant in Garadagh Cement OJSC.

The sides exchanged views on boosting cooperation in future projects.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received OSCE Minsk group co-chairs Robert Bradtke of the United States, Igor Popov of Russia and Jacques Faure of France, as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The meeting focused on current state of and prospects for the peace talks on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
