
A delegation of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria Interparliamentary friendship group led by the group`s chairman Siyavush Novruzov paid an official visit to Bulgaria.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held a number of meetings with Bulgarian officials, including chairperson and vice president of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva and Anastas Anastasov respectively, chairperson of the Bulgaria-Azerbaijan Friendship Group Remzi Osman, and members of the group.
The sides hailed dynamic development of ties between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. The members of the Azerbaijani delegation highlighted the country`s history, culture, internal and foreign policy, oil strategy, energy projects, as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The sides also exchanged views on prospects for development of bilateral ties, boosting trade and mutual investment opportunities, application of simplified visa regime to develop tourism sector, cooperation between Interparliamentary commissions, as well as regional and international security issues.
The Azerbaijani delegation also attended an event marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
