'Afghanistan attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan '

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met General Director of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority Mohammad Daim Kakar.

Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan supported the restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Minister noted Azerbaijan was ready to provide all support to “the friendly people of Afghanistan”.

Daim Kakar thanked Azerbaijan for supporting his country. He said Afghanistan attached great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in a variety of fields, including in the sphere of mine action.

Daim Kakar praised the support of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions, in particular for the trainings for Afghan experts.

They also discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the prevention and elimination of consequences of emergencies, in particular, natural disasters and floods.
