Azerbaijan, Japan eye coop

The Azerbaijani delegation has met with Principal Deputy Director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hajime Kishimori.

Chief of information department of foreign affairs ministry Javanshir Mammadov, editor-in-chief of “Irs” magazine Musa Marjanli and Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzade also attended the meeting.

The sides discussed issues on creation of the further cooperation between the information structures of the offices of foreign policy of the both countries, as well as strengthening of the relations in the relevant sphere.

Hajime Kishimori also informed the Azeri delegation about the information policy of Japan, the state structures’ role in the relevant sphere, progress achieved by Information Office of the Foreign Ministry.

The Azerbaijani delegation has also met with Editor-in-Chief of the foreign news department of Japanese news agency Jiji Press Fumihiko Sugiyama.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on further cooperation with Jiji Press, expanding of the relations in the information sphere and ensuring information security.

The sides also stressed importance of expanding of cooperation and exchanging of experience in the information sphere with Jiji Press for the point of view on educating of Japanese society.
The Agency`s staff are invited to Baku to the effect.
