NATO appreciates its relations with Azerbaijan

NATO highly appreciates Azerbaijan's contribution to Afghanistan, Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, coordinating cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO, Daniel Christian Ciobanu, told journalists on Monday.

"We thank Azerbaijan for the transit of ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) cargo to Afghanistan," Ciobanu said.

He also stressed that NATO highly appreciates relationaship between Azerbaijan and the Alliance, which is developing very well.

The summer session of the International School NATO-Azerbaijan (NISA) opened in Baku on Monday.

During the official oppening of the session Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's Security Department Deputy Chief Gaya Mammadov welcomed all attendants of NISA in Azerbaijan and talked about the agenda of the session.

The main themes of the NISA summer session are theoretical approach to crisises and conflicts, regional crisises and organisations, nuclear energy and non-proliferation, economic and social development.
