Azerbaijan is region’s leading country from military angle

Today Azerbaijan is the leading state in the region both economically and militarily, Azerbaijani MP Fazail Ibrahimli told Trend on Tuesday.

He said there are several conditions for the existence of the state, one of which is military power. Azerbaijan has a strong army.

Ibrahimli stressed that the army is one of the most important factors in the implementation of foreign policy.

By the decision of the government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic on June 26, 1918 a special corps was established. By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan on May 22, 1998 June 26 was declared a Day of the Armed Forces.
