Influential Hungarian newspaper names Armenia occupier

26 June 2012 [08:50] - TODAY.AZ
The influential Hungarian Magyar Nemzet newspaper published an article about Azerbaijan.

Political columnist Gabor Laszlo Zord published an article entitled "Azerbaijan is threatened by conflicts", dedicated to the analysis of the political situation in the country, the Azerbaijani Embassy to Hungary told Trend on Monday.

The author notes the rapid development of Azerbaijan thanks to successful policy of President Ilham Aliyev.

However, according to the author, not everybody is happy with the rapid development of Azerbaijan. In this regard, the author first mentions the occupier - Armenia: "There is no such city or village, where Azerbaijani refugees who were forced to leave their homes, occupied by Armenians, don't live, and almost no such family in which someone wasn't killed or wounded as a result of this frozen conflict. And although people were moved from the first, hastily constructed refugee camps into modern homes, funeral anniversaries, following one another each year, once again reopen unhealed old wounds. In February 2012 Azerbaijan commemorated the twentieth anniversary of the loss of Khojaly, and in May the city of Shusha, Armenian occupation of which was accompanied by massacres of civilians."

The article also analyzes the current state of the Iranian-Azerbaijani relations.

According to the author, although the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is considered frozen, currently hot and strenuous process takes place around it. Azerbaijan faces injustice, inaction of the Minsk Group and indifference of the international community, and if this country takes more effective measures for the liberation of its land, it shouldn't be surprising for anyone.
