23 June 2012 [11:10] - TODAY.AZ
Armenia has refused from Azerbaijan's assessing its activity in combating corruption.

An Azerbaijani delegation took part in the third session of the group monitoring the implementation of the conference of the member countries of the UN Convention against Corruption, held in Vienna on June 18-22.

The countries which activity will be evaluated in accordance with the Convention and the countries which will evaluate the activity were determined on the first day of the session. According to the casting of lots, Armenia was one of the countries which activity must be assessed.

Azerbaijan was determined as the country which must assess Armenia's activity.

The Azerbaijani delegation expressed its willingness to assess Armenia's activity. The chairmen of the session expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijani delegation and stressed this fact as a constructive example.

But Armenia demonstrated a non-constructive position. It requested to conduct casting of lots again. As a result, first, Montenegro, then Lithuania was chosen as a country which must assess Armenia. Thus, Armenia was the only country which requested to conduct casting of lots for the second time.

Azerbaijan was charged with assessing Mexico's activity.
