Victims of GPW honoured in Ukraine`s embassy in Azerbaijan

A memory of victims of Great Patriotic War was revered in Ukraine`s embassy to Baku. The veterans of war and representatives of the Ukrainian communities in Azerbaijan gathered in the event. A state flag of Ukraine was lowered.

The 71st anniversary of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 is marked on June 22. This day, the fascist Germany occupied the Soviet Union. The war, which lasted 1418 days, has killed about 27 million of Soviet citizens.
