Azerbaijan, Jordan keen on expanding ties

Azerbaijani ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli has met with Deputy Senate of the country and chairman of the Azerbaijan- Jordan Friendship Society Marvan Al-Hamud, Minister of Culture Salah Jarrar and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Wajih Oweis on occasion of end of his diplomatic mission.

Development of inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries and role of activity of the working groups were stressed in the meeting with Marvan Al-Hamud.

Appreciating the contribution of the Azerbaijan-Jordan Friendship Group for the expanding of relations between the countries, Marvan Al-Hamud expressed his satisfaction on hospitality during his visit to Azerbaijan.

In the meeting with Salah Jarrar, the sides noted the boosting of relationship between Azerbaijan and Jordan and underlined the role of the Heads of States in strengthening of bilateral ties.

“Jordan is interested in development of relations with Azerbaijan in all spheres, especially in cultural one. Participation of Azerbaijan in the Jerash Festival, which will be held in early July, is important for our country,” Salah Jarrar added. Azerbaijani diplomat also held a meeting with Jordanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Wajih Oweis.

The sides emphasized the good opportunity for expanding of cooperation in the filed of education and science between Azerbaijan and Jordan. Wajih Oweis also recalled presentation of Azerbaijani six universities` activity and opportunity in Amman, which would be organized in October-November.

They also exchanged views on determination of cooperation forms in the direction of holding of joint scientific researches with attendance of young scholars and organization of reciprocal visits of delegations.
