Speakers of the TurkPA member states' parliaments adopted the Bishkek Declaration at the third plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic speaking countries and signed the final document of the TurkPA meeting, KyrTAG reports.

'It is necessary to develop inter-parliamentary ties between the Turkic-speaking countries to strengthen and promote maintenance of regional global security, as well as to develop multilateral cooperation within bilateral relations', the declaration says.

TurkPA tasks include maintaining national and regional security, unity and stability, human rights and promoting civil society development.

'The Parliamentary Assembly is the main engine which integrates economic indicators of the Turkic-speaking countries. This should strengthen economic and trade relations between the Turkic-speaking states, maintain and enhance cultural and historical heritage, language and traditions of those countries', the final document says.

By signing the Bishkek Declaration the third plenary session of the TurkPA has ended. The next plenary session will be held in the Turkish capital of Ankara in 2013. In August this year the TurkPA summit will be held in Kyrgyzstan.
