Azerbaijan`s FM holds several meetings

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov yesterday met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The sides discussed political and economical relations between the two countries and exchanged views on prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands.

Mammadyarov also conveyed greetings of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Prime Minister and invited him to Azerbaijan.

The Dutch Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the invitations and offered congratulations for successful organization of “Eurovision-2012” Song Contest. The sides also discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as developments ongoing in Azerbaijan and the region.

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ahmet Ucumcu.

Ucumcu thanked Azerbaijan`s FM Mammadyarov for visiting OPCW during his short trip to the Netherlands. The Director General briefed Azerbaijan`s top diplomat on the organization`s activity. Ucumcu hailed Azerbaijan`s participation in OPCW`s projects.

The meeting also discussed prospects for cooperation between OPCW and Azerbaijan.
In closing, Mammadyarov signed the organization`s guest book.
