PACE officials to hold discussions in Azerbaijan

Pedro Agramunt (Spain, EPP/CD) and Joseph Debono Grech (Malta, SOC), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Baku from 12 to 14 June 2012, head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, MP Samad Seyidov told Trend on Monday.

He said discussions over Azerbaijan's obligations and commitments to the Council of Europe will be held at a meeting with co-rapporteurs at the Azerbaijani parliament.

In Baku, the co-rapporteurs are due to meet the Minister of Justice, the leaders of political parties represented in Parliament, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General, the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE, as well as representatives of religious communities.

In Guba, the co-rapporteurs will meet representatives of local authorities and NGOs.
