The Azerbaijani Diaspora in Kazakhstan is a bridge between the two countries, said chairman of the Kazakh Senate, Kayrat Mami. He added some 130 thousand Azerbaijanis live in Kazakhstan and they participate actively in public and political life of the country.
The chairman noted Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan economic cooperation is developing rapidly, adding trade turnover between the two countries increases every year. Mami pointed out trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan made up $300 million last year. “The two countries have a joint enterprise. A grain terminal of Kazakhstan is operating in Azerbaijan. Kazakhstan exports grain and oil products to Azerbaijan.”
