Azerbaijan`s President holds several meetings- UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on June 4 received delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishenko.

Ukrainian FM delivered greetings of and best wishes of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to the Head of Azerbaijani State.

The sides expressed satisfaction with successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in various areas, emphasized significance of cooperation between international organizations, exchanged views on further expansion of ties.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for the greetings of President Viktor Yanukovych and asked to extend his greetings to the Ukrainian leader.

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has today received Foreign Minister of Principality of Andorra Gilbert Saboya Sunye.

Gilbert Saboya Sunye said he was honoured to pay his first official visit to Azerbaijan on behalf of the Andorran government. The Minister underlined that the visit creates `good` opportunity in terms of becoming familiar with Azerbaijan, and for the Azerbaijani society to learn more about Andorra. Gilbert Saboya Sunye stressed that both nations have ancient history, adding Azerbaijan has `good` development prospects.

President Ilham Aliyev underlined importance of continuation of such visits for bringing the two countries closer to each other. The Head of State expressed hope that relations in political, economic and other spheres would be discussed during the visit.

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has today received Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. The OIC Secretary General congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on excellent organization of the Eurovision-2012 song contest.

Ihsanoglu pointed out that OIC would continue to support fair settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. They praised successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and OIC, and exchanged views on prospects of these relations.
