The letter saysI “During the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest, Baku - City of great lights, became an objective of a number of groundless political and diplomatic suppositions, criticism, envy and irony. Eurovision 2012 was a good opportunity for Azerbaijan to show its technological possibilities to the world. The grandiose show became Azerbaijan`s fascinating success.
Azerbaijan has organized a great representation of world-class, under the leadership of President and First Lady of Azerbaijan once again proved its worth as an independent state, which has a rich musical, cultural and tourist traditions”.

Miss Natalie Goulet continued: “Criticisms of Azerbaijan are unfair and biased, because they were said by one who didn’t familiar with the oldest and modern country. Those don`t even know that Azerbaijan is a big actor for the regional stability. Azerbaijan is situated in a region, both complicated and problematic, and the country has million of refugees, having a war situation with Armenia.

Despite country`s 20% of lands are under occupation, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev pursues purposeful and wise policy. Baku is a model of multiculturalism. Thus, Jews, Christians and representatives of other religious could and can now live here free without any anti-Semitism.

Truly, Azerbaijan is a country of tolerance; Azerbaijanis are modest and wise people!
The senator ended her letter by saying “Let`s come to Baku and see the reality by your own eyes, don’t let the journalists to think instead of you!”
