Baku and Budapest to become twin cities

Expanding the economic, cultural and humanitarian ties with Baku and the twinning of the two capitals were issued discussed in Budapest City Hall.

Positive decisions were taken in this regard.

The idea of ??fraternity between Baku and Budapest was first discussed by the presidents of the two countries during the Hungarian President's official visit to Azerbaijan in November last year, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Hungary told Trend today.

Twinning Baku and Budapest will create an opportunity for economic cooperation, tourism and student exchanges, promoting cultural values, informing Europe about Azerbaijan's realities more widely.

Today, Budapest's twin cities are New York, Istanbul, Berlin, Dublin, Zagreb, Vienna, Vilnius, Lisbon, Sarajevo, Tel Aviv and other world capitals and megacities.
