President Ilham Aliyev visits Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today got acquainted with the reconstruction works in Julfa frontier commandant’s office and frontier post.

Chief of the Nakhchivan Frontier Division, Major-General Asaf Guliyev reported to the President, Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing inauguration of Julfa frontier commandant’s office and frontier post equipped with modern facilities. The Preisdent viewed the military dormitory, talked to the staff.

The Head of State familiarized himself with the technical equipment necessary for combatant service, viewed subsidiary facilities in the frontier commandant’s office and frontier post with refurbished territory. The President highly assessed the conditions created in frontier area and wished success to the staff.

The same day, President of Azerbaijan inaugurated the building of headquarters in the N military unit in Kangarli district.

As part of his visit to Nakhchivan, President Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated the Children`s School of Music in Julfa town.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school and toured it. The four-storied school building has 52 classrooms. Some 285 students are studying in the school.

The President listened to performances of students of the school. The Head of State donated a piano to the school. The President posed for photographs with teachers and students of the school.

As part of his visit to Nakhchivan, President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Kangarli region. The Head of State put flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Then the Azerbaijani President met local residents. Teacher Minura Bayramova thanked the Head of State on behalf of local residents. President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing Kangarli region culture house and toured the facility.

There is a photo exhibition in the building`s foyer reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s visit to Kangarli region in 2010.

Then the Head of State inspected the Heydar Aliyev Park of culture and rest. The President was told all conditions had been created in park for residents. The Head of State posed for photographs together with residents.

President Ilham Aliyev yesterday inaugurated the Nakhchivan Cement Plant here in the frame of his visit to the Autonomous Republic.

After the Head of State was cheered by the people, he toured the workshops, inspected the production process, the stand of raw and ready products.

The President was informed about the re-development and construction works underway in Nakhchivan. Therefore, the new cement plant became so urgent and it was decided to build a new enterprise with 150,6 ha area in Kangarli district of the republic. As stated, the plant is one of the largest projects in the Autonomous Republic on investment amount.

Then, the President set the plant in motion, after which he toured the territory of enterprise which includes several warehouses, administrative and catering facilities, as well as power substation.

The plant has been built in accordance with modern standards and will contribute to development of construction sector in the Autonomous Republic.

The President was told that the plant with 800 tons of annual capacity will employ some 210 people permanently. The plant’s products will also be exported to foreign countries. President wished success to the staff of new plant.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 30 inaugurated an administrative building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

Nakhchivan AR Minister of Emergency Situations, General-Major Shamo Abdullayev reported to Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the administrative building.

The President was informed about emergency 112 call number operative in any case requiring an intervention of emergency service.

The President was informed that eight-story building with total area of ??7592.2 square meters consists of 103 offices, 56 auxiliary facilities. The Control Center was established in the lobby of the building. The use of these centres in the prevention of emergency situations provides a great opportunity to achieve more effective results. Controller is equipped with monitors to directly observe the scene. The crisis control centre is operating 24 hours a day.

He Head of State highly appreciated conditions in new office building and gave instructions and recommendations.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has opened today the Nakhchivan Polyclinic named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva here.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the hospital. Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov said that all conditions have been created in the six-storey building of the polyclinic for high-level medical service.

The foyer of the facility houses a bust to Zarifa Aliyeva, photos reflecting her life and activity and thoughts by prominent figures about the outstanding ophthalmologist.

President Ilham Aliyev told that the new-established Stomotological Centre operates in the fifth and sixth floors of the polyclinic. The polyclinic has therapy, surgery, roentgen, laboratory units.

The Head of State was informed that the facility employs 12 district physicians serving 66,2 thousand people of Nakhchivan.

President Ilham Aliyev wished successes and posed for photographs together with staff of the polyclinic.

A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the Azerbaijan leader in the Nakhchivan international airport.

President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov and other officials.

The Head of State inspected the guard of honor. Azerbaijan President met with officials of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
