Azerbaijani President receives congratulations from world leaders - UPDATE

The world leaders congratulate Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on occasion of 28 May, Republic Day.

I extend my cordial congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Azerbaijan, May 28, the Republic Day.

The relations between Montenegro and Azerbaijan have always been cordial and friendly. The official visit I made to Azerbaijan last year clearly demonstrated the fact.

It is with a great pleasure that I view the results of our joint efforts to widen and deepen the cooperation between our friendly countries. A number of agreements have been signed and ratified. Thus, we have a solid legal base for making our relations even stronger along the friendship between the people of Montenegro and the people of Azerbaijan we have been cherishing so devotedly.

Along these lines, the interest Azerbaijan companies have been taking into the Port of Bar, located at the gate of the Adriatic Sea with numerous advantages for its geographical position and experience in servicing the wider region for more than a century, is another outstanding opportunity for our countries to expand on cooperation.

The announcement of the social project that will be a result of Azerbaijan donation to the people of Montenegro has been valued highly among our citizens. Their profound gratitude for that to the people of Azerbaijan and to you personally has been demonstrated with enthusiasm on a number of occasions. I am more than confident it will be a significant contribution to the friendship between our countries and their peoples.

At this point, Dear President, I would like to emphasize your personal prominent role in making our cooperation more diversified and the bonds between our countries strong. I have been immensely grateful for your approach to the matter. I do hope as well that we will be equally successful in carrying on with our plans for further cooperation.
