FM: Azerbaijan expects apology from Iran

Iran should apologize to Azerbaijan over harsh statements of the country's officials, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elman Abdullayev told journalists on Thursday.

Abdullayev also refuted information that the Iranian side presented a note of protest to Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran.

As Abdullayev said, Baku demands Tehran to prohibit anti-Azerbaijani actions in front of Azerbaijani diplomatic missions in Iran.

Yesterday Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi voiced harsh statements against Azerbaijan.
