
As many as 14 questions have been included on the agenda of the meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament, which will be held on May 22.
The agenda includes bills to amend the laws "On the rights and freedoms of persons held in detention" (third reading), "On ensuring intellectual property rights and combating piracy" (second reading), "On state duty" "On the Prosecutor's Office", "On state protection of the judiciary and law enforcement agencies' staff", "On the Constitutional court".
The parliament will also discuss the draft laws "On the change in the name of the Natavan village of Kapaz district of Ganja", "On the status of municipalities", amendments to the law "On approval of exemplary charter of the municipality," change of "List of municipalities of Azerbaijan Republic", supplements to the law "On Territories and the lands of the municipality".
The parliament is also to approve "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments", "Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Croatia on avoidance of double taxation with respect to income and property taxes and the prevention of evasion taxes", "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Croatia for exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports".
The Azerbaijani parliament will also submit for the discussion a bill approving the declaration of the first summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States.
