
The Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia Tamerlan Garayev met with this country`s foreign minister Natalegava. The diplomat said Azerbaijan is keen to cooperate with Indonesia in all spheres. Garayev expressed his confidence the relations would be further expanded. He said the trade relations between the two states were rapidly developing.
Ambassador reminded of proposal on creation of Azerbaijan-Indonesia economic commission. The diplomat briefed about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict and over million refugees. He also touched on commemorative events held in numerous countries on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy.
Natalegava said the government of Indonesia attaches great importance to developing relations with Azerbaijan. He said Indonesia is keen to boost cooperation with Azerbaijan not only in politics, economics but also in the fields of culture and education. He also stressed the necessity of establishing relations between the two countries` NGOs and businessmen. The minister said Indonesia takes a fair stand on Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict and supports peaceful resolution of the problem within the international norms and principles.
