FM : ‘Azerbaijan is one the most secure countries in the world’

The US Embassy in Azerbaijan called its citizens to be vigilant during the mass events within the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest in Baku. The embassy placed the security alert reminder on its website today, APA reports.

Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev voiced attitude to the US Embassy’s message. “Azerbaijan is one the most secure countries in the world. The state of Azerbaijan is always ensuring security of both its citizens and the foreigners in the country. The security of tourists arriving in Baku and other regions of the country is always ensured at high level”.

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of National Security also made comments on the US Embassy’s Eurovision 2012 alert reminder. Spokesman for the ministry Arif Babayev told APA that necessary preventive measures are being conducted for the prevention of possible threats against the national interests and security of Azerbaijan.
