Brussels to host NATO-Azerbaijan ‘28+1’ consultations

The next meeting North Atlantic Council – Azerbaijan in the format of 28+1 will be held in Brussels in June, military sources told APA. The meeting will focus on discussions about the evaluation document by NATO of the works carried out by Azerbaijan within Planning and Analysis Process (PAP) between Azerbaijan and NATO. Azerbaijani delegation will be led by Head of the International Military Cooperation Department at the Defense Ministry, Major General Ramiz Najafov.

Note that, within the framework of PAP, Azerbaijan adopted 44 Partnership Goals. Of these, 31 concern the Armed Forces (general -18, Land Forces – 7, Naval Forces – 2 and Air Forces - 4). According to PAP document, in order to attend peace-support operations of NATO, peacekeeping group, search and rescue team, medical team, engineer combat group and helicopter group.
